Welcome to the original Linux Webring

Updates

I let the linuxwebring.org domain go. Whatever is there in the future, if anything, has nothing to do with me or the former Linux Webring.

If you see the following image on your site, it's because you used to be a member site and have not removed the HTML code from The Linux Webring, which has not been in operation for some time (see below). I would suggest removing or replacing it soon because it will change to a broken image when I remove the last of it.

The following things have been permanantly disabled:

I'm not involved at all or a member site of any of them, but former members of this one may want to check out these others:

I would suggest not using images created for this ring with others, as the people that created them gave permission only for use with this one. If you want to try to contact them to get permission, I can try to dig up old info... Here are some of them:

Sorry to say it but The Linux Webring is no more. Recently, I've had too many complaints from members about the webring system, too many problems as a webring user and ringmaster, and I just don't have the desire to deal with it any more. Current members should be able to continue using it (as "Linux Community") through webring.com, but I have nothing to do with it. Please don't write to me asking if you can take it over, it's no longer up to me.

One day I still may set up something hosted 100% by me to link Linux-related sites together, but if I do, it probably won't be any time soon. I'll renew the domain for one more year, then I'll probably get rid of it.
