  Great mail client with so-so news capabilities

  Secure Shell - a secure telnet alternative
• TiK
  Tcl/Tk version of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM)
  While I don't condone the existance of AOL, this app does save me LD calls to my parents and sister who live 1,000 miles away from me
• XBoing
  A VERY addictive blockout-on-steroids game for X.
• XFree86
  X11 GUI for Intel based Unix systems
• XMCD
  A great Motif-based audio CD player for X. Allows remote lookups for artist, title, tracks, etc.
• XScreenSaver
  Screensaver for X which rotates and displays over 80 root-window graphic demos
• Zgv
  A console graphics file viewer (svgalib)

  An IRC client for X
