HOWTO: ibmonitor

NOTE: I use GNU tar >= 1.13.25 so it's -j for .tar.bz2 files,
it's safe to assume that make, gcc, binutils, fileutils/coreutils, gawk, sed, and grep are prerequisites for almost everything

# ibmonitor 1.3

# perl (it's a perl script)
# Linux with the /proc filesystem

# Install/upgrade the required perl modules:
perl -MCPAN -e shell
o conf make_install_arg UNINST=1
o conf prerequisites_policy follow
install Term::ReadKey
install Term::ANSIColor
install Time::HiRes

test -f installed/ibmonitor-1.3.tar.gz && mv installed/ibmonitor-1.3.tar.gz .
test ! -f ibmonitor-1.3.tar.gz &&
cd /usr/local/src
find -type d -maxdepth 1 -name "ibmonitor-*" -exec rm -r {} \;
tar xzvf ~/ibmonitor-1.3.tar.gz
mv ibmonitor ibmonitor-1.3
cd ibmonitor-1.3
chown -R root.root .
install ibmonitor /usr/local/bin/
mkdir -p -m 0700 installed
rm -f installed/ibmonitor-*.tar.*
mv ibmonitor-1.3.tar.gz installed/
