HOWTO: nas
Description: Network Audio System, a client/server audio transport system

NOTE: I use GNU tar >= 1.13.25 so it's -j for .tar.bz2 files,
it's safe to assume that make, gcc, binutils, fileutils/coreutils, gawk, sed, and grep are prerequisites for almost everything

cd src
find -maxdepth 1 -type d -name "nas-*" -exec rm -r {} \;
tar xzvf ~/nas-1.9.1.src.tar.gz
cd nas-1.9.1
test $UID = 0 && chown -R root:root .
xmkmf

# 'make World' installs it the normal way.  This way will set the library to
# start a NAS server as necessary.

make WORLDOPTS='-k CDEBUGFLAGS="$(CDEBUGFLAGS) -DSTARTSERVER"' World

make install
ldconfig

mv nas-1.9.1.src.tar.gz installed/
